A Gentle Studio Letter on Welcoming Spring, One Handmade Piece at a Time

Dear Kreative community,
Lately, I’ve been listening for spring. Even while winter lingers with its cold breath and frosted mornings, there’s a softness beginning to gather at the edges of the season. A hint of green beneath the brown. A whisper of warmth in the afternoon light. It feels like the daffodils are practicing their entrance just out of sight.
Spring has always felt like a small miracle to me. A season that arrives slowly, then all at once. And in my studio, welcoming spring isn’t just about the weather shifting. It’s about letting that sense of renewal seep into my hands, my yarn basket, my paints, my ideas. It’s about creating little pieces that feel like fresh air.
This month, I’ve been working on my Spring Maker bundle, a cheerful gathering of crochet floral accents and spring‑inspired purses. Soft petals, bright colors, textures that feel like sunlight on your fingertips. A tiny burst of spring you can carry with you, even on the days when the sky forgets to be blue.
And with the season turning, craft shows are beginning to bloom again. I’ll be joining the vendor group at Waverly Woods Golf Club, stepping out into the early spring air with a table full of color and handmade joy. If you wander by, I hope you’ll stop for a moment of warmth and a peek at the new spring pieces. They feel like little celebrations of the season.
This spring, I’m leaning into renewal. Into creativity. Into the joy of making something simply because it feels good in the hands. I’m returning to two of my great loves — purses and flowers — and letting myself explore new shapes, new stitches, new ideas. Some will be soft and familiar. Some will surprise me. All of them will carry that quiet spring energy.
You’ll have a front‑row seat to the experiments, the blooms, the little bursts of inspiration. And I hope you’ll share your thoughts along the way. Your kindness and honesty always help guide my creative path, even when my imagination decides to toss a little glitter into the mix.
Here’s to welcoming spring through handmade art, one gentle project at a time.
With handmade warmth, always
